A series of written instructions in natural language that is understood by AI to output the intended response for your use.
There are different types of modifiers as discussed below
Specifies the target audience or reader for the writing, such as students, professionals, researchers, marketers, developers, entrepreneurs, etc
see the output generates as per the audience we mentioned
(Output is not yet good, we’ll refine the prompt later)
Specifies the organization or structure of the writing.
Structure Examples
Examples:
Format examples:
format modifiers mentioned in prompt
See how it followed the format specified in prompt
Output generated with HTML tags like H1, H2, ul
Use the keywords in any prompts
🤖 Write a <multiple MODIFIERS> + <TOPIC/PRODUCT/SERVICE> . + <multiple MODIFIERS> = Our Prompt
To create your own prompt simply replace modifers in above formula with one or more modifiers we discussed above. And add your topic or product/service name.
🔴When using product/service name add description so that AI understand better about it & produces content accordingly.
Formula Example:
Twitter Thread: Write a thread on the importance of idea validation for startups founders. Target audience entrepreneurs, use few emojis.
thread = modifier
importance of idea validation for startups founders = topic
Target audience entrepreneurs = modifer
use few emojis = modifer
With this prompt style you can make chatGPT role play as someone else.
For example here are some prompts:
Generate a user persona for a <product/service> called <name of product/service>, used mostly by <provide all information you’ve related to targetted customer> that helps them <mention usecases>. <name of product/service> is a <write details of the product>
Further prompts to target Sarah (our targetted persona created above)
🚩Formula:
🤖 Write a <SOMETHING> to/for <NAME>, targeting her <ANY PERSONA TRAITS>. <Include any optional modifiers>
(Work in progress, will be updating this on January 10, 2023. You’ll get an email when this is updated)
Being a trained model many times gives false/untruthful answer.
According to TruthfulQA the best model was truthful on 58% of questions
So to prevent hallucinating effect add these to prompts:
By breaking the result down into smaller, more manageable steps, you can give the AI a clear roadmap to follow when generating writing. This can help the AI understand your expectations and produce more targeted, relevant writing.
For example, rather than simply asking the AI to write a blog on a given topic, you could break the task down into several steps, such as:
Example 2: Creating copy for Landing page:
The more information you can provide the AI, the better it will be able to understand your expectations and produce effective writing. So be sure to provide as much detail as possible when giving prompts.
Feel free to use combinations of multiple modifiers.
At the same time don’t use opposite two opposite modifers like short & long in one prompt
Keep tweaking & improving your prompts until you get desire output.
